The 70’s soul icon was found dead in his apartment at the weekend. He was well known for his completely over the top stage persona and double-entendre lyrics (one album with Millie Jackson was banned by several radio stations in the 80’s as I recall). Perhaps his two most famous pieces of work came via tv programmes. Number one was his theme for Shaft (see below) and the other his voice was that of the chef in Southpark. Looking at the video though it would seem Isaac didn’t miss a trick in marketing
